Pictorial Practices of Global Cultures in Cross-Border Perspective
Komparatistik bedient sich des Vergleichs. Wäre dies auch die Methode der Bildwissenschaft? Unsicher. Vielleicht eher: versuchen, die Wissenschaften aus ihrer eigenen Logik heraus zu verstehen.
Bloss: ginge es mir bei dieser Weltreise um Wissenschaftsbilder?

Since I finished my PhD and suddenly after my move to NYC, 'real adult work life' has started - and for the first time, life has also shown its cruel face of fatigue and seriousness.
Therefore I decided that I need a 'life churn' and that I want to take a break from October 2012 on. I am going to travel for six months - with an open ending. I will guard this side to become my travel blog as the decision to travel is closely connected to my year in NYC - from which I spent pretty much half time now without really experiencing too much.
So this is what's going to happen:
I will go back to Berlin shortly in October 2012, put my remaining belongings into storage, and sell parts of it. I will freeze my career and give up on having an apartment.
Then I'll board an airplane. Well, I guess the interesting part of the story will begin at that point.
